Faith

Paper crafters know all about faith.  We enter swaps and mail our precious creations afar.  Sometimes we put our faith in the post office and things go horribly wrong.

Happy New Year!

Yeah, I know, I'm a bit late, but I wanted to make sure that my Vintage Collage ATC group received their swaps before I posted mine here.

Hangin' with the Athletes

Not really - we common folks can't get close to Olympic Village.  Just outside the Village, though, are some of the "Houses", where the public is welcome to enjoy being with the athletes.

Canadian Hockey House, proving to be a popular place to drink beer and sing loud.

Sochi House (Russia), originally built for Expo '86, usually home to Vancouver's Science World

Riding the Olympic Line

Although I don't have any event tickets, I'll be checking out some of the Olympic stuff over the next few weeks.  There is a free tram running from the Olympic Village at the foot of Cambie Street over to Granville Island, one of my favourite places in Vancouver.

It is a bit ironic  that we borrowed this train from Belgium, when it is built by Bombardier, a Canadian company, but then Europeans have been investing in state of the art transportation for years!  For more information you can read about it here.

Friends

Friends

Although I enjoyed the nice warm weather in Palm Springs, I'm very happy to be back home where my friends are.  I missed you all so much!

A Bit of a Mystery

When I was in Montreal (a year ago!!) visiting my sister, Dianne, we played with lots of techniques, and I came home with a lot of unfinished pieces.

This one began life as a spritzed watercolour background, masked with torn masking tape.  Sorry, the stamp is a mystery to me, one of my sister's.  I think I coloured it with alcohol markers.
