Apologies to Vincent
These were made as little warm-up collages to a free-motion sewing project. I haven't got to the free-motion stitching yet. Life intruded.
I love collage because I get to use all that glorious paper that I can't bear to part with. A few years ago, a friend gave me a desk calendar of Vincent Van Gogh paintings. I cut them into ATC sizes and then into 1/2" strips. Then I rearranged them into collages. Last time I made them they were snapped up like hotcakes at the Vancouver Artist Trading Card swap. There are just two for now, but there are lots more months left if these get traded.

Inktense Artist Trading Cards
I've made three artist trading cards using the technique I showed here. I used Inktense Blocks and canvas paper. You can see the lovely texture in the pictures.
Here's a picture of the scrap I painted before drawing on it. You can see that I used my fingers to move the Inktense around. My fingers are my favorite tool :)

30 Days of Biblical Lettering

Last week on Instagram, I found an interesting hashtag - #30daysofbiblicallettering. It was an April lettering project, and quotations were provided for each day. Unfortunately it was almost over when I found it, but I started anyway, and I hope to loop around and do April 1, 2, 3, etc. on May 1, 2, 3.
Of course, this required the making of a whole new journal! LOL

Blackletter
At the March meeting of the Westcoast Calligraphy Society, we learned the uppercase letters of the Gothic, or Blackletter hand. Our homework assignment was to write one word in Gothic, beginning with a capital letter. I made this bookmark.
