Playing with Silhouettes

I've been playing with silhouettes this week.  They make great images for gelli plate printing and for journals.

I made a stencil and a mask at the same time by gluing a magazine image onto chipboard and cutting it out with a craft knife.  On the left page I applied gesso around the mask, and on the right side I applied gesso through the stencil.
