I'm currently reading Wabi-Sabi Art Workshop by Serena Barton. Serena uses acrylic paints a lot, but today I thought I'd try her simple landscape using Pan Pastels instead. I did it in my old book journal. The book pages offer the right amount of tooth for the Pan Pastels.

And so glad you're working on mountains. I'm counting on you to help me capture the essence of the San Jacinto Mountains in Palm Springs...so far eluded me and I love them so much.
Ah, so there is the Provence scene you wanted!
Those mountains in Palm Springs have colours like no others....fabulous indeed.
Well, the Provence scene will have to be on a blank page, of course!
If anyone can capture them, you can! And maybe I'll learn a little bit of something.
