Ian Fennelly gave a free 1-hour truck sketching seminar earlier this month. It's wonderful that with Zoom we can travel to England for such a thing. It was the middle of the night here in Vancouver so I didn't attend live, but watched the replay.
Ian modified his usual process so that we wouldn't have to watch paint dry. Before beginning, he lays pens on the page to represent the major perspective lines and positioning, then sketches the rough shape in gray Tombow (water soluble) marker. He then did a more detailed sketch in permanent pen and used some grey and black Tombow markers to add tones before adding paint.
