First Foray of the Urban Sketching Season
I made my first foray of the urban sketching season last week. I found a lovely bench in the sunshine at 19th and Cambie and sketched the view of our local market. Heaven.

New Sketchbook, Baby Ducks
The new sketchbook requires a new approach. It has coloured card stock in it, so watercolour can become muddy. Pencil crayon helps to perk it up. I'm still experimenting, obviously.

Earlier in the week, some of my artist friends and I took part in an acrylic painting workshop at Artist Think. I did this from memory after watching the video, because I neglected to print out the reference photo.
