A Rainy Monday Project

Today I turned one of my "Let's Do Coffee" artist trading cards into a stamp.

More People Do Coffee

In preparation for the Vancouver ATC Swap tomorrow, a few more people are having coffee.

I drew all of these little coffee shop scenes with a Sharpie onto scrapbook paper.

I then added colour with regular, water based markers.

No demonstration of hand carved stamps would be complete without the old daffodil stamp, would it?

This is the card that the Westcoast Calligraphy Society decided to use on their website letting people know about the upcoming meeting.  I'll be doing a stamp carving demonstration.

Same Stamp Two Looks

By stamping on scrapbook paper, you can get a different look with the same stamp.  The first card could be used for any occasion; the second might make a Christmas greeting.

Coloring A Stamp With Markers

You don't even need a stamp pad; you can color a stamp with markers. 

My First Hand Carved Stamp

This square card features the first stamp I ever carved.  It was carved with an X-Acto knife.

I'll add the calligraphy once the occasion has been determined.
